3rd District Retreat

Don't forget about the 3rd District Retreat that begins on Friday in Stillwater, home of Senate President Pro Tempore Mike Morgan who held the Senate Democrats together when they were being bullied around by his highness Jimmy Todd Hiett, of Slick Road in Kellyville, soon to be former speaker of the house.

Mack and Anita have put together a great program and they've made considerations for the young and young at heart so take a road trip to Stillwater this weekend and join the fun with the 3rd District Democrats. Then put your work shoes on 'cause it's 90 days until the election. If you don't know what to do, check out www.100actions.com -- plenty of ideas there with specific ways you can help elect Democrats.

Friday night is going to be a lot of Democratic Family fun. We have a great BBQ prepared by the Payne County Democratic Party. The evening keeps getting better with 3rd District's own Rep. Purcy Walker to entertain. AND THERE IS MORE... Little Lucas, the 6 year old from Guthrie who loves to sing, will be there also! A lot of fun on tap for Friday night and then we have a hospitality room at the Hampton Inn later.

Saturday is full of activies as we kick off with a tour of Stillwater 8:300-11ish. The bus leaves from the circle drive on the east side of the Student Union.

9:30-11 Saturday morning you may choose to take part in a training session, "The ABCs of Campaigning" with Bernice Mitchell.

We will eat at noon or shortly after in the Oklahoma Room of the Student Union. You may visit, make your stops as needed then go on to the Student Union Theatre just a couple of doors down from the Oklahoma Room. ODP State Secretary Walter Jenny will be doing his `Every County Counts' program for those interested from 1:30-1:55. The afternoon speaking session begins at 2 pm with Key Note Speaker Attorney General Drew Edmondson and Special Guest Governor Brad Henry. Others to follow are State Auditor & Inspector Jeff McMahan, State Treasurer Scott Meacham, State Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland, Corporation Commissioner candidate Cody Graves, Labor Commissioner Candidate Lloyd Fields, both of our Lt Governor candidates and many other candidates will be present. There will also be several other elected officials present as well as a large group of YDs and College Democrats. Come join the fun!
