HIETT CAMPAIGN ON HIATUS

The Tulsa World reported today that Todd Hiett's campaign for Lt. Governor is nearly broke.

A fundraising letter he sent out Friday came to us indicating the same and promoting the same old rhetoric of us versus them, of conservatives versus liberals. Yes, the race is about the Greedy Old Party versus the generosity, openminded and competent Democrats. But more importantly this race is about grace and dignity, about experience and courage, and the people of Oklahoma trust Jari Askins to lead them into our second century, they do not trust the pay to play bullying schemes of the former dairy farmer from Slick Road in Kellyville. Nope, the people will choose a leader in November who has earned the allegiance and loyalty of legislators on both sides of the aisle. The people will choose Jari Askins because she will work with, not against Governor Brad Henry, to keep Oklahoma on the move.

The Oklahoma Gazette published two stories earlier this year describing Hiett's pay to play schemes. To read the stories click here and here.
