Boneheaded Leadership

Last week Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), had this to say on the floor of the U.S. Senate: "America is not tired of fighting terrorism. America is tired of the wrongheaded and boneheaded leadership of the Republican Party that has sent $6.5 billion a month to Iraq when the front line was Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, that led this country to attack Saddam Hussein when we were attacked by Osama bin Laden. And Americans are most certainly tired of leadership that, despite documented mistake after mistake . . . never admit that they ever do anything wrong."

Today Republican Doug Miller said that Karl Rove, the architect of the Bush administration, is coming to Oklahoma to help Ernest Istook. Do what? Oklahoma does not need more of the dangerously incompetent leadership from the Republicans, not in Washington, and not at home.

No, we are not tired of the fight, we are tired of Republican incompetence masquerading as leadership. We are ready for a new direction and new leadership in Washington. Vote for Dr. David Hunter, vote for Sue Barton, vote for Alan Gentges, vote for Hal Spake and re-elect Dan Boren. Let's be part of the new direction and the new Democratic majority in Washington.
