Expect Massive, Negative GOP attacks

Because "the president's low approval ratings, the sharp divisions over the war in Iraq, dissatisfaction with Congress, and economic anxiety caused by high gasoline prices and stagnant wages have alienated independent voters, energized the Democratic base and thrown once-safe Republican incumbents on the defensive" (Washington Post) expect massive, negative attacks from the GOP. Those attacks will be framed by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove and coordinated by the RNC. In Oklahoma expect the politics of personal destruction to chiefly come from Ernest Istook, John Sullivan, Frank Lucas, Tom Cole, and Mary Fallin. Even the secondary campaigns can expect to see negative attacks and innuendo.
