Lisa,
Thanks for this report on OK Blue Notes. We were delighted to have you and all the State and District candidates join us.
Our regular meetings are at 7 pm on the first Tuesday of every month at ODP Headquarters and are always open to all Democrats, not just Stonewall members. Anyone interested in our work for equality and in facilitating greater GLBT participation in the Democratic Party is most welcome.

Oklahoma Stonewall is honored and uniquely priviledged to have three of our members elected to serve on the National Stonewall Democrats board of directors. We (Linda Gray Murphy, Colin Raley, and myself) represent Stonewall members from Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, as Missouri, as well as Oklahoma. We began our two-year terms with our first national board meeting at Las Vegas in March.

Due to a scheduling conflict on the national level, the Central States NSD event we were planning to host at OKC in July has been postponed. The new dates will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.

We, like all NSD board members, were assigned to work on multiple committees. Primary assignments include Murphy on fundraising, Raley on outreach to Young Democrats, and me to DNC relations.

Statewide, Oklahoma Stonewall boasts nearly 200 members, including Democrats from the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgendered community as well as many allies from "straight", African American, Native American, and other communities. It's easy to join from our website Lisa mentioned: www.okstonewall.org. From our members we recruit support and volunteers for campaigns and a variety of ODP projects and progressive Democratic causes. We're an active bunch, evidenced by more than 20 of our members being elected delegates to upcoming state and district conventions. Many of our members are ODP Roosters and Yellow Dogs, too!

Thanks for letting us share info here on Blue Notes!
