AP: Clinton early favorite in Oklahoma poll

A new Oklahoma poll shows U-S Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain are early favorites among Oklahoma voters for the 2008 presidential nominations.

The poll for the Tulsa World and television station K-O-T-V showed Clinton was the preference of 28 percent of 420 Democrats surveyed, followed by former U-S Senator John Edwards at 23 percent.

On the Republican side, McCain was favored by 25 percent of the 288 Republicans surveyed, giving him an 8-point lead on former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Seventeen percent of Democrats and 12 percent of Republicans were undecided.

The telephone poll by SoonerPoll-dot-com was conducted January 19th through 21st. The margin of error for questions asked of all respondents is plus or minus 3-point-5-8 percent.

The margin of error for the question asked of Republicans only is 5-point-7-7 percent. The margin of error for the question asked of Democrats only is 4-point-7-8 percent.
