Happy Birthday Mom!
I'm taking a note of personal privilege today to say Happy Birthday to my mom. She's the one who taught me the value of the beautitudes, not by taking me to church (although she did that), by the way she's lived her life and how she's treated people. While always expecting the very best from us, she demonstrated the care and compassion, the listening and support, that make a person whole. In fact, she taught me most everything I needed to know including a deep curiosity for learning. Thanks mom on your special day.
